Bus users will benefit from cleaner and greener journeys in Bristol, England, following the granting of £4.8 million for 110 natural gas buses. The funding has been approved under the government’s ‘Low emission bus scheme’ and was apparently stimulated by the publishing of an air quality plan submitted by the UK Department for Transport, Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).
Transport Minister Paul Maynard said: “Low emission buses are an important part of our plans to make motoring cleaner and improve air quality across the country.”
