U.S. wants to speed up approval of small-scale LNG exports

By LNG World News The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing a rule that will provide for faster approval of small-scale exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The department said in a statement on Friday that this rule would expedite the review and approval of applications to export small amounts of natural gas in the emerging small-scale LNG export market.
The U.S. small-scale LNG export market involves exports of small volumes of natural gas from the United States primarily to countries in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
