Siemens scores Golden Pass LNG compression gig

By Adnan Bajic Siemens Gas and Power has secured a contract for the supply of three cryogenic boil-off gas (BOG) compressor trains for the Golden Pass LNG export terminal.

The contract was awarded by CCZ JV, a joint venture between Chiyoda International Corporation, McDermott International, and Zachry Group.

The export facility in Sabine Pass, Texas, USA, is a joint venture between units of Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil. It will be integrated into the existing Golden Pass LNG import terminal, Siemens noted.

The project includes the construction of three liquefaction process trains. Each trail will have a nominal output of approximately 5.2 million
