By LNG World News LNG-ready West Virginia (Image: Crowley)U.S.-based Crowley Maritime on Friday took delivery of the last of four LNG-ready product tankers built by Philly Shipyard.
The tanker named West Virginia, is scheduled for christening on August 16, before starting work for its Charterer, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Crowley said in its statement.
West Virginia, the 50,000 dead-weight-tons (dwt) tanker capable of carrying 330,000 barrels of crude oil or refined products is based on a Hyundai Mipo Dockyards (HMD) design.
The vessel is 600 feet long and is capable of carrying crude oil or refined petroleum products, as well as various chemical cargoes.
