France’s Dunkirk LNG terminal receives first cargo

By LNG World News Awaiting the first commissioning cargo (Image courtesy of Dunkerque LNG)France’s fourth LNG import terminal in the port of Dunkirk (Dunkerque) received its first commissioning cargo on Friday, July 8.
As previously reported by LNG World News, Teekay’s 135,243-cbm LNG carrier Madrid Spirit brought the cargo from Nigeria’s Bonny liquefaction and export plant.
The second Dunkirk LNG cargo is expected in August to complete testing of Europe’s newest LNG import terminal.
Commercial operations at the LNG facility are expected to begin in September.
