By NGV Global Evo Morales, President of Bolivia, last week led the official opening of a new multi-fuel filling station in the city of Cobija, 600 km north of La Paz on the border with Brazil. The station, which dispenses compressed natural gas (CNG), was built by State owned and operated petrol company YPFB Corporation with a total investment of Bs 9.8 million (USD 1.4 million).
The new station addresses the facility shortfall experienced by taxi operators. Dispenser testing was set to follow the opening with full operations expected to commence 48 hours thereafter.
