BayWa, Volkswagen open German LNG station

By Mirza Duran BayWa Energy and Volkswagen Group’s logistic unit teamed up to launch the first liquefied natural gas filling station for trucks in the German city of Wolfsburg.

The station, located nearby Volkswagen’s world headquarters, will also offer bio-LNG in the second phase of development.

BayWa said in a statement it aims to launch more LNG filling stations in the Bavarian cities of Munich, Nuremberg and Nordlingen in mid-2020.

The German company which operates in the agriculture, building materials and energy sectors plans other locations for filling stations as well.
