Barcelona’s First LNG Station Planned to Open by Year End

By NGV Global Spanish energy companies Gas Natural Fenosa and Petronieves have signed a contract to build a compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling facility at the Petronieves fuel station in the Zona Franca district of Barcelona. This will be the first LNG station for trucks in the city, expected to be operational by year-end.
The natural gas filling station will be located in an area very close to the city’s port and Ronda del Litoral (B10), which will allow it to serve a large number of vehicles, including fleet vehicles from both companies.
