ABS, DSME team up on conceptual FLNG design development

By LNG World News Illustration purposes only (Image courtesy of ABS)American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) signed an agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) of South Korea to support safety in the development of a conceptual FLNG design.
The project is planned to commence at the end of May and have a duration of twelve months, ABS said in its statement on Thursday.
ABS will review the conceptual design to the applicable class requirements and provide guidance to support safety during the development of the floating liquefied natural gas unit.
